Family Discount Packages
The Family Package Discount option allows clubs to offer a special bundled membership rate for families, providing a discount compared to purchasing individual memberships separately.
For example, if a family were to purchase four individual memberships at €100 each, the total cost would be €400. However, with the Family Package Discount option, the club can set a reduced rate—such as €350—giving the family a €50 discount. The club can only discount their portion of the membership fee.
How to Set Up a Family Package Discount
Create Individual Membership Packages – Before setting up a family package, ensure that the individual membership options (e.g., Coach, Adult, Youth, Mini) are already set up in begin selling as normal. Add name + description + selling from/to dates. Select a membership type from the right, add your club fee for the individual package.
Then create a Family Package – Set up a new membership package that combines multiple individual memberships under a single package.
In the family package, you set the Package fee on the right. This is how much in total the club will charge for the package. Instead of the total cost of individual memberships, assign a standalone discounted price for the family package. So for example, if the U19-U16 and U15-U13 were priced at 300, a family of three would pay 600 instead of 900 in club fees.
Set a minimum amount of memberships and a max. You can set up multiple family packages if you want to set different price points for families of 4/5/6 etc.
Note the fee beside the membership package (bottom right) is the category fees set by Rugby Canada/Province/Sub union combined. These are not discountable and will be added on to the package fee you set.

You can also use the plus button to add a mandatory breakdown of the family package. Sometimes used if you want to specify an adult vs child memberships. In this example, they use it to give a discount to coaches who have playing kids.
When they go to checkout and select this family package, they will be required to select one membership for the coach and two memberships for their kids. In this scenario, they could not select three from the children’s memberships.
Make the Package Available – Once configured, the family package will be available for families to select during registration. When they are registering, they will see something like this using the same coach example above. They fill in the three dropdowns for the coach and the two children memberships. And continue with the registration as normal.
Note, family packages cannot be used for combining multi role packages (where one person is registering to more than one category).
