REMS Update:

 : Meet Features Launch Postponed to January 2025

Date: October 4, 2024 

We have made the decision to postpone the launch of REMS meet functionalities—including Meet Sanctioning, Meet Entries, Meet Entry Validation, and Officials Deck Logs—until January 2025. This decision was made in partnership with the PSOs, based on their feedback and the need for more time to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.

The extended timeline will allow us to:

• Host additional training sessions to ensure all users are fully prepared.

• Finalize tutorial videos for registration and meet processes, which will be available soon.

• Test meet management functionality ahead of the official launch, allowing us to address any issues before rollout.

We recognize that delays can be frustrating, but we’re also seeing positive developments, including 21,000 fully registered members (44,000 in process) nationwide.

In the meantime, meet management processes will vary by Province, so please reach out to your PSO for specific guidance.

We remain committed to delivering a successful launch in January and will continue to provide updates along the way. Thank you for your continued support and patience.

REMS Update

: Launch of Meet Functionalities  

Date: September 20, 2024 

We want to take a moment to acknowledge the feedback we’ve received and keep you informed about the latest developments with REMS. After careful consideration and listening to your concerns, we’ve made the decision to postpone the launch of all Meet Functionalities (sanctions, entries, result upload) until October 17, 2024 for clubs.  

We heard you—many of you shared that you are feeling overwhelmed with the changes and are currently focused on completing the registration process. In response, we’ve decided to give everyone more time to adjust before adding new functionality. 

 What’s Next? 

Over the next few weeks, Swimming Canada will continue to test the meet features and finalize training materials. This will allow us to iron out any potential issues before being launched nationally.  PSOs will also have time to test the meet features prior to being launched to clubs.   

REMS Update : Reporting, Quick Member View, and Officials Certification Information Now Available in REMS

WHAT’S NEW 

Quick Member View: 

Easily view key member details like REMS ID, Swimmer ID, and Sportlomo ID by selecting the "" icon in search results. 

Reporting:
REMS now includes customizable reporting, plus all the pre-built reports from the RTR.  

Officials Qualification/Certification:
Officials' qualification and certification data is being added to REMS throughout this week, with completion expected by early next week. We appreciate your patience as we finalize this complex process. 

OTHER UPDATES: 

• LMS Access for Coaches in REMS: Coaches can now access the LMS directly through REMS. 

• Transfer Process Reminder: The receiving club must initiate transfers, which require approval from the releasing club (or PSO for inter-provincial transfers). Automatic notifications are not yet available, so manual notifications are required. Click here to access the detailed Transfer Process Guide

REMS Update: Launch of Reporting and Officials Certification & Qualification Information Postponed 

Date: September 10, 2024 

Overview:
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the launch of several new features in REMS has been postponed. The new launch date is September 17, 2024. Once live, these features will be available after your club's affiliation process is complete. 

What’s Coming Soon (Sept 17, 2024): 

1. Reporting
   Customizable reports and flexible data export capabilities will be available. All pre-built reports from the RTR system will also be integrated into REMS. 

2. Officials Qualification/Certification Information 
   REMS will provide access to officials' qualification and certification information to streamline meet setup and management. 

We appreciate your understanding and will provide further updates as we approach the new launch date.
